Dr. Altman is an Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon (ENT Doctor) and is recognized as a Phoenix Top Doc. His practice involves general Otolaryngology which includes the medical and surgical care of disorders of the ears, nose, throat and related structures. He has published many peer-reviewed journal articles, and he then recognized the need for a children’s book dealing with a common problem in his practice.
The idea for this book came from his pediatric patients and their incessant need to put things where they shouldn’t go! He teamed up with his somewhat more creative co-author, Richard Jacobson to create their book, Don’t Stick Sticks Up Your Nose! Don’t Stuff Stuff In Your Ears!
Dr. Altman is the Past Chairman of Surgery and is a member of The Professional Practice Evaluation Committee at Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, Arizona. He is passionate about the health of the people of Ethiopia and provides medical care and training during medical mission trips there.
Dr. Altman lives in Phoenix, Arizona, is married and has 2 beautiful daughters and a very active son. He is a woodturner and hikes sporadically, and mountain bikes in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve nearly every week.
